We had a fall a couple of weeks ago and I don’t know how my friend walked away. It shook our team, and we held a safety stand the next week, and reminded everyone about safety on the ice. It’s scary what can happen. I now where a bike helmet when I 🥌.

Had a player fall in our 🥌 game on Sunday. Thankfully no significant damage but her head hit the ice! #ChinUp we say if you fall but it’s an inherent risk of curling. Got me thinking, what can we all do to minimise this risk and go home safely every time we play?

they are developing the CRUCIAL broomstacking skills needed to succeed at bonspiels, well done
Vallvidrera, near Barcelona, has a curling club. Each season, the members of the club go to the local reservoir and toss a stone in to see if the ice is strong enough to play. Since the water never freezes, they go for brunch instead and raise the toast, ‘We shall play one day’.

Has anyone been involved in the sanding of #curling stones 🥌? Our stones seem to have lost their curl, and we’re contemplating creating a setup to sand them (following standard method). Does it add curl? Does it last long? We are on arena ice and I don’t think our rocks have ever seen sand paper!

Estate agents are nothing more than hyperlocal marketing agencies. Most of them are amateurish at that task, with Rightmove doing the work and letting them collect huge fees. How are they even still a thing?
