God every time I see someone say ai is helpful because it makes writing/art easier I just think like... if you really need ai to help you tell your story, then you have nothing of worth to say. You just want the gratification that comes with telling a story that resonates with people.

One of the least discussed reasons that making art is a political act of resistance is that when make art, our mental & spiritual energy is used in the ways WE wish. Any creative act/thought, however small or hidden, is resistance against a system that wants people's thoughts & souls for itself.

I genuinely feel like I've been grieving for how social media used to be for art. Or how social media used to be in general. It felt like it was ours, like we could create a little corner for ourselves on it and share it with each other.
