Em has talked about making a Rose Parade bot for YEARS, thrilled it’s finally seeing the light of day
On this Rose Parade eve-eve-eve, I have brought you a silly thing I have made.

This will randomly generate a list of Rose Parade floats, including the award it won, for what ("innovation in floral design"), who built the float, what it's of, and the flowers & natural materials needed to create it.

I sketch almost exclusively in ballpoint pen nowadays, and it's still my medium of choice for plein air studies:

@gilespink.bsky.social always told me Bermuda was essentially Riven, turns out he was CORRECT

Aw man I love seeing this thing made the rounds again, drawn because I was tired of seeing historically inaccurate Luteces smut 😌🙏🏼
"concept artists can experiment with AI to make their lives easi-"

wrong

I smack you with Claire Hummel's immaculate and detailed understanding of costume design, which she got by studying historical references, which made her strong, which you will not become by relying on AI

get good

@gilespink.bsky.social and I spent probably way too much time designing an old school-style Riven calendar for Cyan complete with new tidbits of lore, very proud of this thing ♥️

(also some blankets with my PS classic trophy art that we're making solely because I PERSONALLY WANT THEM)
Winter snow has arrived at Cyan HQ, so to celebrate we're adding several cozy new blankets to the store!

Grab them today, along with our brand-new 2026 Riven calendar featuring 12 gorgeous scene captures and never-before-seen journal entries!

one of my favourite goofs—if there was one thing we did at campo it was Commit to the Bit

was psyched to be on a panel at @lightboxexpo.com and thennnnnn I partially paralyzed my right vocal cord! Hoo-ray

I'm on the mend (and I now have some rad videos of my vocal cords trying their darndest to make an E sound), but it does mean holding off on public speaking for the time being 😭💔

Carved out some time to hit up the Brett Allen Johnson show on its last day at the Maxwell Alexander Gallery, hands down one of my favourite working artists:

sometimes you gotta design and model a Linking Book-style e-reader, just for The Bit™

@gilespink.bsky.social kept insisting that we should make the panel match the tiiiiny proportions of the original Myst linking books, and he was correct:

Amazingly, my dad just found our original save files for Myst—I love that you can tell I didn’t get to endgame until I was prepping to play Riven in 1997, and that dad named his endgame file “Syztem Reset” to keep @hummeline.bsky.social and I from accidentally opening it:

love this Christmas card I made in the late nineties, exhibiting the brief (but intense) phase when I hated Chibi Usa

I haven't watched Episode 1 in a hot minute but I'm pretty sure this is about how it went down between Watto and Qui-Gon

Exactly the reaction @gilespink.bsky.social and I were going for 😌🙏

if someone reposts my art on TikTok I will ask politely for credit, one single time, but if they refuse me I will immediately hit them with a DMCA takedown like a witch disguised as a humble beggar in the wood

I had next to no time to draw anything new for the furry convention but I DID draw a sexy Minerva Mink at the eleventh hour, fulfilling my childhood hopes and dreams

aaaand #AWU2025 con commissions day 3! Proof to myself that I can still draw on paper, phew

Been a hot minute since I’ve done con commissions! Bring me your furry masses yearning to be drawn #AWU2025

LOOK I may be biased, but Em has been absolutely knocking it out of the park with social strategy for games like Unpacking, Dredge, and Go-Go Town—she was also a constant resource I could tap into for advice while working on stuff for Cyan's socials & community. ♥️ Can't recommend her enough!!
Also what a good time to say that ✨ I've got some some space for new clients & studios ✨ for the rest of the year! If you are looking for social strategy work in games, discord support, writing, newsletters, and things of that nature, please reach out!

thought I should update the ol' fursona ahead of @anthroweekendutah.org
July 30, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Aaaaand my stage backdrop for this year's @anthroweekendutah.org as well! Had a ton more I wanted to fit into this one given more time, but I'm glad I managed to get a fat little sealmaid in there at least ♥️

SUPER excited to share the swashbuckling poster I designed for @anthroweekendutah.org, where I'll be a Guest of Honor this coming weekend!

I haven't been to a proper furry convention since high school so I'm hyped—might still be a little delirious from SDCC. but HEY we'll figure it out 😎

I tend to fly under the radar at SDCC nowadays, but that also means I am TERRIBLE about posting about my side gig @theconrangers.com that consumes my life every summer.

I’m now, wildly, nine years into this venture with @hummeline.bsky.social, @azimedes.bsky.social, and @aidanrae.bsky.social:

I *like* looking stuff up. I like pulling at a thread, asking if the source is reliable, looking for more context. It’s like a scavenger hunt and I learn something new at the end. Or when I’m lucky say “Ah, ok, that was right” pretty quick.

The point is, I don’t want to be told.

I want to find out
