Cheerful, apathetic, cheerfully apathetic. Mostly. (He/him)
Fry-grease flaming vengeance! I'm pretty sure him hitting bad guys with a hellfire-hot fry basket would not be Comics-Code approved; but it would smell delicious.

So many Ghost Riders with little hats! I feel like at least one should've had a fast-food uniform and hat; although that feels like final-boss material there.

It seemed to be from nearby; if it had been from say, next to me in bed, then I'd agree with you

I figure the Technet advertises? And is probably kind of spammy about it?

Actually, in the Marvel U, mercs probably advertise EVERYWHERE. I'm positive Deadpool has bought ad time on local TV at least...It probably gets yanked from the air really fast but has a catchy jingle.

I think Orchis maybe hired them, but it either didn't go well or wasn't fun for the Technet. But even aliens should know working for racist d-bags that hate you is never gonna be a walk in the park...

In that issue, Gatecrasher mentions something from the Krakoa era that I don't think I've seen. The last Technet appearance I recall was from a Rocket Raccoon mini, guest-starring Deadpool! With this really Ditko-style merc explainer:

I’ve had that for years and it’s great, but while I’d later follow Chaykin to other books, I’ve still only read a few issues of the regular series.

I watched a lot of HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL in the morning on straight-up antenna TV. Absolute classic western your dad (or grandpa!) would watch...and in the closed-captioning, every time somebody cocked their gun, it was XXXX'ed out! Been like that for years.

Aw, I was hoping he was still seeing Silver Sable!

I sorted my GROO comics and had a couple dupes; and several spare DEATH'S HEAD II's. That's...not real close, but sweet dreams anyway!

I love it—and I don’t know if I love it as much as some!—but I’ve been watching Lynch pretty regular since that and WILD AT HEART. Man, I haven’t seen that in forever—early Nicholas Cage!

"Usually I'm friendly to animals--" Um, aren't there like 40 shorts with Donald trying to murder Chip n' Dale?

(And he's right to do so! There's probably only like 2 or 3 shorts like that, there SHOULD be 40.)

I miss First, and those editorials! I liked the one where Mike admitted they spent a lot of money on subliminal advertising in supermarkets, which didn't carry First comics, so all they did was increase shampoo sales...

I'm still trying to figure out if that cover's a reference to something...Speed Buggy, maybe?

Also, I need to look into Spidey figures with changeable eyes; to give him that glum "...this is my life?" expression.

But I kinda love that? Sometimes they'll try to push a character over, make them a big deal; when fans really love some random thingus with three seconds of screen time and maybe an off-model action figure.

He's totally made up! The meme is, whenever STAR WARS (or TREK, or anything really) fans are real excited about some character appearing or even getting mentioned, it's always somebody deeply obscure. "Ooh, live-action Glup Shitto!"

Hmm. I was sure I'd find Arthur's fist clench paired up with the KILL BILL/Ironside siren on YouTube, but no dice.
