Cheerful, apathetic, cheerfully apathetic. Mostly. (He/him)
In that issue, Gatecrasher mentions something from the Krakoa era that I don't think I've seen. The last Technet appearance I recall was from a Rocket Raccoon mini, guest-starring Deadpool! With this really Ditko-style merc explainer:

I wasn’t expecting this yet! The Mondo X-MEN ‘97 Nightcrawler figure just came in.

I don’t usually get 12-inch figures, but of course I ordered this as fast as I could.

I miss First, and those editorials! I liked the one where Mike admitted they spent a lot of money on subliminal advertising in supermarkets, which didn't carry First comics, so all they did was increase shampoo sales...

Got my Dash Rendar figure today! And this stupid joke to the tune of Queen's Flash Gordon theme was the first thing to come to mind, because I'm pretty sure Dash would do this:

If you see this, post egg

The assorted Hulk heads remind me of yet another dumb bit that's been in my skull for decades: a 1983 Bullpen Bulletins, with guest writer David Michelinie grousing about how hard it is to be a writer, yet everybody looooves artists!

So I’ve been watching more on Tubi or Pluto or Shudder the last couple weeks; but I started the month trying to plow though some DVD’s.

Ah, the scene from the opening of MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE! Nice.

You would not believe how much I’ve been looking forward to a big bowl of Boo Berry.

This is also a four day weekend for me! Today was blocked for this and scary movies, and I decided I didn’t need to be there the day after Daylight Savings starts…

They're 14 and up because Micronauts are choking hazards for adults. (I'm thinking of the old Palisades Baron Karza reissue, which I don't think they could legally call a toy! It was stuffed full of missiles and springs and the Baron wants to hurt you.)

I think Kurt would be, except he also kind of has his own life? I'd love to see him on the days he's supposed to be taking care of the kids in UNCANNY...

"...class, I'm hungover as hell, so today we're watching a video."

"...do we even have videos?"

"Just no more talking, ja?"

I can't be the only one to immediately think of this.
October 28, 2025 at 9:51 PM
I have a ton, but this might be my favorite. (Although I hadda buy another THE GREEN SLIME magnet! Dunno if somebody swiped it.)

Still less dumb than a Cybertruck.
October 24, 2025 at 3:01 PM
I'm not usually super picky which cover I get, but I had to ask my comic shop to get me the Mignola one too!

Can confirm!

No tattoos either: it would'a made my mom sad, and I did that too much already.

I did have an idea for a variation on the Chuck Taylor logo on my ankle, but whenever I had money for a tattoo I would of course blow it on comics instead. Or beer. Or comics about beer.

One of the douchiest comics characters ever: rigid government man Henry Peter Gyrich.

X-MEN ‘97 made him racist on top of everything else; but in the comics his ideology is tougher to nail down. He’s just unpleasant, and always thinks he’s right, no matter what.

THE GRUDGE is on Pluto right now, and Sarah Michelle Gellar is using the internet, and finding information, quickly and easily! Which dates the living fuck out of this movie.

I thought he usually did a good job on WARLORD; I don't know if Grell thought so, but...

He's delineate a pretty girl all day long, though!

I'm not really up on romance books, so I hadda look up TIME FOR LOVE, since I figured it was either vaporware (never came out!) or time-travel romances...nope! 47 issues over 9 years. Huh, good for them.

Someone had asked: here’s the old Toy Biz Man-Wolf, and the new Hasbro Marvel Legends one.

I need to find TB’s little backpack…
October 14, 2025 at 10:46 PM
What is he in, the iron butt? (The placement doesn't look right for like an iron lung...like I know.)
October 12, 2025 at 3:17 AM
Shocker Toys was a crummy company and largely vaporware, but they did a very nice Maxx figure! I have a bunch of their Iszes, too.
October 10, 2025 at 9:51 PM
I do like that one. And CYBERPUNK!
