LEAVITT: I think if you go back and look at what the attorney general said

DOOCY: I've got the quote. She said, it's sitting on my desk right now to review.

Marco Rubio said on a CNN interview that Ukraine President Zelensky needs to apologize to Donald Trump because "Trump is a great business man and knows how to get deals done." This is a complete turnaround after Rubio used to call Trump a "little hands loser that bankrupts everything he touches."

We are going to see political investigations and prosecutions.

The question is whether the public, the courts and the media will recognize and call them out as political. Will they stand up against them or will people stay silent and allow them to continue.

Primary Every Democrat
It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.

His contemptuous, loyalty-testing Cabinet nominations are you need to know about how Trump plans to "govern"--performative politics, revenge instead of policies, division instead of uniting--4 years (if not many more) of spectacle, symbolic actions & rhetoric instead of solving America's problems.

Agree with flooding the zone. But you have to flood it in an algorithmic, video clip/soundbites aware manner.

It's not just volume of trumpisms. It's which will be amplified and talked about vs which can be easily countered by blaming the messenger.

My prescription for building a new opposition:

1. Prioritize effective campaigns to elect Democrats.
2. Be a big tent of new policy ideas.
3. Build new institutions.
4. Embrace new communication methods and messengers.
5. Use every legal tool available.
