Also worth considering. The suspect is reported to have spent ten years working alongside US Special Forces. Imagine the crap he has seen and done. The sheer volume of trauma. PTSD is pretty much a given. Giving that person a gun and placing them in a triggering environment is a recipe for disaster

Reuters reached out to everyone that Trump or his subordinates singled out publicly for retribution, and reviewed hundreds of official orders, directives and public records. The result: the most comprehensive accounting yet of his campaign of payback.

It's a surreal--and troubling--read.

Calling what’s coming out of the Senate a ‘deal’ is an insult. It’s caving on millions of people’s healthcare, putting a bow on it, and calling it compromise.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Earlier today, LinkedIn once again recommended I follow Bari Weiss.

It is the 16th time this year LinkedIn has emailed me to recommend I follow her.

This isn't tailored to me; my account is dormant with few connections. She's been a default recommendation all year—yet still only 33k followers.

“State constitutionalism makes it easy to consider Roberts Court jurisprudence white noise,” Hawaii Justice Todd Eddins wrote in a recent ruling that assailed the U.S. Supreme Court’s conservative majority.

The justices ruled that Hawaii’s constitution requires police to record interrogations. And they vowed to protect due process for Hawaii residents—unlike, they said, the Roberts Court.

WELKER: Part of your tactic is to imitate some of what we see from online from President Trump. Do you risk normalizing that behavior?

NEWSOM: Quite the contrary. The whole expression was to not allow it to be normalized. He's dressing up as the Pope! It's madness. And so I put a mirror up to it.
