Multispecies crop mixtures increase insect biodiversity in an intercropping experiment
In an agricultural field intercropping experiment, we manipulated crop diversity (0–3 crop species) and the input of agrochemicals. We found that insect biodiversity increases with crop diversity and...

Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.

5 Mrd t CO2. Wtf.

Despite an apparent ceasefire and claims of a "spectacular military success," the question remains: Why did Trump really bomb Iran?

A weird thing happened in scientific publishing during COVID. And it hasn’t gone away. Publications went up 30-50%. And responses to requests to review went down 30-50%. I know the actual statistic…

CO₂ at Mauna Loa just reached a monthly average of >430 ppm for the first time.
That's possibly higher than in over 3.3 million years.
The global RATE of increase is off the chart.
It's hard to exaggerate how unprecedented this is!
