Disappointing but unsurprising to see an argument not about why Taiwan and Palestine should stand in solidarity and seek to amplify each other's self-determination struggles, but an assertion that Taiwan deserves statehood while Palestine does not

Man, have you ever tried to get a PhD to follow instructions? It’s virtually impossible.

is it too much to ask for one (1) day without seeing yet another horrific development in this tech dystopia
“By the end of the year, Delta plans for 20% of its ticket prices to be individually determined using AI, president Glen Hauenstein told investors last week.”
“Over time, the goal is to do away with static pricing altogether…”

Delta moves toward eliminating set prices in favor of AI that determines how much you personally will pay for a ticket
The airline touted a partnership with an AI-enabled revenue system as a step on the road to fully personalized ticket pricing, part of its goal to raise profit margins long-term.

I came for the intersectional crop science; I stayed for these incredible threads dismantling myths about agriculture and labor 🤩
Ex-farm worker here.
We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing.
Not true AT ALL.
Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are.
The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour.
At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.

There's a trend going around TikTok to have ChatGPT create visual alphabets (because the output is always full of ridiculous mistakes). I generated this one to use an example to help explain WHY AI image generators make these kinds of mistakes. It turned out even better/worse than expected.
