Be weirder and more unsettling
I think it would be fun if writers who love language started intentionally writing more strangely as AI flattens written "content" into a mono-voice. it would cool I think if writers responded by focusing their individual efforts on cultivating a really unique voice that's hard to copy

honestly with how irony poisoned shit is now, we need more melodrama and saccharine sincerity in films

Some of the Otherworld of Midwich Elementary School in-game models from the 1st Silent Hill that I designed and modeled back then.
Rendered in a 3DCG software Softimage 3D that we used for the development.

My favourite thing about the Friday the 13th series is that the timeline is convoluted and doesn't make any sense, so that if you envision each movie as a different campfire tale being told by some drunk counselors, each getting weirder as they try and top each other, it totally works.

everyone rightly talks about how upsetting the man behind winkie's diner is in Mulholland Drive but i am much, MUCH more unsettled (scared even) by those bizarre laughing miniature old people? that show up towards the end. Nightmare.

I worry this won't quite FEEL like Silent Hill, so much as a Siren or Fatal Frame game, but i kind of don't care. Looks gorgeous, love the setting and the vibe, can't wait to play it.
Silent Hill f steam page is up, trailer and screenshots/info buff.ly/SxWZkVl

The Twin Peaks Pilot operates across an emotional spectrum still almost unheard of on TV. An unflinching look at grief as it washes over people and ripples outwards across a community. Recalibrates my brain every time.

Lighthouse Mimics (Farimendax carolinae) are pack hunters that evolved from deep-sea fish.
When a ship passes by, a lone hunter uses its lighthouse-like lure to trick the crew into redirecting the boat, leading it to crash into shallow rocks. The stranded sailors become the pack's next meal.

I just watched the 1985 monster movie The Strangeness, and while it was far too slow and overall pretty bad, the monster in it does look like this. So it has that going for it.
