Of the big-deal classic creepypastas I think Smile Dog is actually pretty interesting. It's deeply meta but doesn't get lost in iconography or "lore" the same way (lesser) popular stories always did.
The image itself being kind of corny makes the attached curse seem so arbitrary, thus scarier.
