Yesterday many HHS staffers at FDA, CDC, and NIH found out they had been fired after being denied entry to their work buildings.

"One wondered aloud if it was a cruel April Fools’ Day joke"

I can understand wanting to make the government more efficient, but does the process have to be so cruel?
