It's my last day at my current job because the plant is shutting down temporarily to retool for new part manufacturing.

Isolation is one of the most difficult toxic coping mechanisms to separate yourself from, because it's not outwardly malicious, however harmful it may be. The truly baffling dichotomy of wanting to love and support those you care for while wanting to protect them from yourself is a living hell.
