After Kilmar Abrego Garcia was released from custody, ICE was almost immediately back on his trail. Why? An immigration judge, reporting to the DOJ, retroactively “corrected” a 2019 ruling prohibiting the Maryland man from being deported to El Salvador.
I went to law school with an African-American kid who refused to identify himself as African-American or black. He was a japanophile, & he insisted that he was Japanese. (To be clear, he was not Japanese.)

I can't speak for what was said at the protests, but seeing people react to an anodyne statement like "sacred spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law" as if it were a vicious slur is clarifying.
