Will everyone quit and roll over? The law firms, media companies, universities, government employees. Will you all cling to what you have and hope you can just ride it out, Republic be damned? Shame on all of you who don’t stand up, just remember we will never forget.

Rep. Steven Horsford to Greer: "So the trade representative hasn't spoken to the POTUS about a global reordering of trade, but yet he announced it on a tweet? WTF! Who is in charge? It looks like your boss just pulled the rug out from under you. There is no strategy ... is this market manipulation?"

Merrick Garland is the reason we're here right now. He should have been fired 6 months after J6 when it was obvious he was never going to prosecute Shitler and the other insurrectionists at the top and in congress, including Ginni Thomas.

Yep - same with US court decisions (or Romanian ones). Regardless of the future politics it's good when the courts do their job. If they don't you're screwed anyway.
Honestly, Le Pen's sentencing has nothing to do with public opinion or political strategy ahead of the 2027 election. It's to do with upholding the rule of law in the face of enormous corruption, without which democracy cannot survive anyway.

In his first term Trump’s unexpected support for Putin was best explained by concluding Putin had some serious compromat on him. In Trump’s second term the ownership by Putin is so complete it is hard to imagine a kompromat serous enough.
Conclusion: Trump is a willing Russian asset, USA a forfeit.

This is a poor headline from the BBC. The US aren't offering a "deal" - they want the minerals in return for support already given. It's straight up extortion.
