Argo CD stuff, Crozet Virginia stuff

Physically can't stop talking about bike/pedestrian infrastructure. It's a problem, please help.
Coffee shops, snacks, public restrooms, places to sit... is the KubeCon showroom floor the walkable city I've always wanted?

Unfortunately, way more than food stamps or healthcare costs, the convenience of Holiday Travel has far higher salience and visibility to "average Americans." On a slow holiday weekend, it would the main thing on the news.

Cool stuff found on the Crozet trails today: sassafras, spotted wintergreen (which I learned about only today), and some kind of mushrooms growing in a live red maple.

I don’t find these assurances that “we shouldn’t be afraid of flock because other police data can be hacked” to be all that comforting

"Aw shucks, data? Shit's all over the place, whatcha gonna do."
Audience member points out the flock contract says that flock can unilaterally access data during an emergency.

Presenter is pretty dismissive of this and says AWS hosts a lot of cop data and could already be hacked.

Presenter says cell phones could be hacked.

(This gives me less confidence)

Apropos to Cville area👇🏽we need all kinds of housing for all kinds of people, otherwise the city and county will be a entirely soulless amusement park for the rich
who creates the lively art and music scenes if the rent is too high? who makes cultural life? who serves you food or washes your dishes? who creates the fancy little restaurants that draw you to urban living? affordable housing is at the heart of what makes city life worthwhile.

Car-brained all the way back in 1756, mad at pedestrians for having rain gear
Onlookers jeered. Coach drivers whose livelihood depended on people jumping into their covered carriages pelted Hanway with trash. One driver tried to run him over. But Hanway was an eccentric who didn't care about gender norms, so he continued on.

I'm in dev right now, i keep deploying destroying and creatively destroying the cluster.

I think in this case, I am the drama but I was remembering the azure news from this week too lol.

Two stops later, and we are 90% full.

One woman sat down next to another woman and said, “hi bus buddy!”

15 people + driver. I’d bet every one of us would had been sole occupants in our respective cars.

Why are single-stair buildings actually SAFER than two stair buildings in some circumstances?

It seems counter intuitive… obviously, more redundancy is better, right?
