I am severely in love with how the trump/musk manly-man fans are trying this “people aren’t used to seeing how masculine men argue” thing. yes bros that’s right. being a messy bitch online, that’s real alpha behavior. if Achilles were alive today he’d be in Hector’s mentions on social fucking media

If you stop looking at the Robovan pictures and just repeat “A bus, but it can only carry 20 passengers” over and over again, eventually you start to understand the intellectual bankruptcy of not just Musk but most of Silicon Valley.

Rest in peace, Nick Russo, you will be dearly missed.

I grabbed a copy of his site in case his family does not keep it running, as it's a wealth of knowledge.

Interesting routing algorithms in use on broadcom's fabric. Most of these seem to be in-line/in the data path (in contrast to a central controller making decisions) but unfortunately aren't quite interoperable or standards-based (yet, at least, that might be in the works)

Broadcom talking about Linear Pluggable Optics (LPOs) which remove the DSP and have tuned drivers that allow you to use much less power (and have lower latency). I think that this comes at the cost of reach, but in a DC/HPC application, that doesn't matter as much.
