I mean we are absolutely in a place now where the only solution to this information disorder is for everyone to constantly evaluate the source of information. Never trust a chatbot, but also don't believe a video unless you know and trust where it comes from.

Unfortunately... that's a lot of work.

Here's the reality this example illustrates:

It's not even just about people blindly trusting what ChatGPT tells them. LLMs are poisoning the entire information ecosystem. You can't even necessarily trust that the citations in a published paper are real (or a search engine's descriptions of them).

what is the point of going after someone's appearance? their actions are what is vile. he "looks older" largely due to genetics of hair loss and going gray early. he could do things to look younger but who cares. trying to tie morality to appearance is bizarre and bullshit.

i got the painting of my kids i did recently in a frame and on the wall today, small thing but i'd been avoiding it because i needed to screw in some clips to the wood frame which i haven't done before, so i'm happy i got it done and everyone likes the fancy frame hehe

first handful of years at this house we lost power enough, and for long enough periods, not having power for the well pump (aka no power equals also no water) was a serious concern. keeping power to fridges so you don't lose all your food also a huge relief
