i got the painting of my kids i did recently in a frame and on the wall today, small thing but i'd been avoiding it because i needed to screw in some clips to the wood frame which i haven't done before, so i'm happy i got it done and everyone likes the fancy frame hehe

noticed this little rainbow spot when waiting for the bus yesterday, there today as well but I could get the whole thing pictured. like a halo with rainbow on the top and bottom and blobs on the sides. I'm sure @philplait.bsky.social or someone knows the actual term for this very cool phenomenon

a reference i'm making for a painting i'm gonna do, screenshot of Photoshop. sam seemingly clutching his head in distress (in fact it was response to dean teasing him about his messy trials bedhead) with my pasted on fall risk bracelet that i got from recent surgery, impala is parked with the lights off, door is open and dean is behind the door frowning and looking concerned (this was from an ep involving charlie being dead-ish on the ground?). background is a local (to me) neighborhood street after sunset, it's foggy and the streelights are lighting the fog, the trees in the distance are obscured by the fog as well picture of my giant pad of paper where I've started my sketch of fall risk Sam. I have the Impala mostly sketched in, the outline of Sam in front of it. also on the paper is the scale model Impala that came with a little Dean figure. I had him standing behind the open door, like my reference but alas he has fallen over. felled when I was sharpening my pencil around the paper pad is a bunch of novacolor jars of acrylic paint and few makeup items. I'm in the chair in a black shirt and green pants

got me reading this merriam webster article about "comprised of" and wow. that is some dedication!

i fear i fall into the camp that if people have been using it this way for that long, the rule should be changed 😔

Even if you despise comprised of and have made it your life's work to expunge it from the writing of others, chances are very good that you never approached the level of dedication exhibited by the Wikipedia editor who, over a period of years, deleted tens of thousands of uses of comprised of from that website (in addition to writing a 5,000 word explanatory article).

I have no practical experience with religion so I'm a little surprised I've managed to absorb this much. equal opportunity misses: one on Christianity (10 commandments), Judaism (Sabbath) and Buddhism (four noble truths). a lot of Christianity stuff I've gleaned from shows like say, Supernatural 🤪
