Mike Johnson: "We're fighting for healthcare as well. Not just in word but in deed. We put in the one big beautiful bill, real reforms to Medicaid to make it work better."

(The bill in fact cuts nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid.)

Mike Johnson’s Bible apparently has Jesus encouraging lying as often as possible as the pathway to heaven. Must be a Trump Bible.

So far today, Chuck Schumer has said his strategy for preventing Trump sending troops into blue cities is to win over Republican senators (!) while Hakeem Jeffries praised Eric Adams's courage and authenticity (!!) while refusing to endorse Mamdani. Again.

These two gotta go.

The function of the American health care system is to make huge profits for the insurance and drug companies.

Not acceptable.

Our job is to fight for the U.S. to join the rest of the industrialized world and guarantee health care to all as a human right.

CEO pay is up 1,094% since 1978, while worker pay is up just 26%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

Republicans would rather shut down the government than help millions of Americans afford health care. This article tells some of their stories, and is a good reminder of what’s at stake.
These people have found their health care at the center of a shutdown showdown

Clarence Thomas likens old rulings that protect our rights to trains driven by monkeys.
You are a blight on the legal profession, Clarence. Precedents obviously can be overturned, or Plessy v Ferguson would still be followed. But you know, or should know, that stare decisis enables a degree of stability in the law, vs changes w/ each administration.

Nobody cares about the victims in the Dallas ICE shooting apparently. The first I've heard about one of them was on CNN today. He's fighting for his life in the hospital --- he was brought to the US when he was 13. He's 33 now. No criminal record.

I just don't know what to say anymore.
