If you're a National Trust member, it's that time of year again: Midnight tonight is the deadline. It's a shame people have to keep doing this to keep a toehold on historical truth in this country, but here we are. Voting link: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/who-we-are/a...

OK, this is wild.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.

What the HELL?

Zuckerburg is seriously trying to destroy any semblance of family unity. I'm going to have come off Facebook now instead of pretending to be there and just ignoring it. This is every racist uncle's dream.

Word of the day is ‘quafftide’ (16th century): the season for drinking. Also a pithy way of declaring that it’s time to relax.

Works for hydropots (water drinkers) just as well.
