Cars are so dangerous that parents who move their kids to the suburbs to avoid perceptions of urban crime increase their kid’s likelihood of dying a violent death by like 30 percent.
This happened in my city last week.

Since it seems like the entire world is obsessing over the potential dangers of teens riding ebikes lately, I feel like a reminder is in order: drivers are far and away the greatest threat to your kid and everyone else on the road, and always will be.

"'They’re spending more money than I would even tax them,' [Mamdani] said in an interview with MSNBC last week."

This is the message. Make it clear that these billionaires aren't just worried about losing money. They're worried about losing the ability to exchange their money for power.

"the complexity and delays of the [broadband] program and the broader failure of Washington over many years to solve the digital divide is overwhelmingly the result of telecom monopolies whose economic and political power previous administrations unleashed." washingtonmonthly.com/2025/07/09/t...

I say a lot of things are “unbelievable” that are probably not actually unbelievable. But finishing this legislative session without any transportation bill whatsoever, after preparing for it as the top priority long before the session started, that *is* unbelievable.
The House is waiting for the clerk to prepare the sine die resolution, Speaker Julie Fahey says. Looks like we're ending soon. #orleg
