If you’ve got Zverev coming into net under these circumstances, don’t go for a heroic passing shot.

Make him volley or…”hit an overhead” 😂🎾

This game. 😬🫤

I’m sorry. That non-overhead overhead was hilarious. 🫠🎾

Alexander Zverev being exasperated by other players executing high-risk plays on big points would be fair (it's irritating, sure!) if, you know, he ever threatened to do that

Not Zverev playing gutless tennis when things get tight. Can’t be! 🤭

This is wild! 🤯
NCAA D-I individual championships begin Tuesday at the USTA National Campus and the problematic men's seeding has dominated the conversation this week. The college tennis intelligentsia, as Alex Gruskin refers to them, shows much consensus exists, just not with the ITA rankings seeds are based on

And how awkward to have your partner’s future partner across the net.

It feels so strange that this is the last match Evan King and Christian Harrison are playing together.

If there is one thing Ben is going to do, it’s follow all avenues of the story until there’s nothing left — until someone is forced to speak, that is.

I don't feel so bad about not getting Alex de Minaur's scenario correct.

Alex himself was unaware that he qualifies if Alcaraz wins today. 😅

They’re discussing all the super coaches that have cycled through the Zverev camp without mentioning most (if not all) of them had quite negative things to say about the experience of working with Zverev.

Nobody has ever left and just said, “ah, well, it just didn’t work out.” 😐🎾

Casually dropped in the broadcast:

Christian Harrison will play with Neal Skupski next year. And Evan King will play with John Peers.

Feels strange since Harrison and King came from near obscurity early in the year to make it all the way to the ATP Tour finals. 🎾

Once again. Kinda confused about Tennis Channel programming.

With 20 minutes between matches, they start a replay of FAA-Shelton...and the feed with no commentary?

Both King and Harrison lost their focus when it mattered.

Last three points:

-King double faults on match point

-Harrison took his eye off the ball

-Harrison hits to the net man when he clearly should have gone back to the man on the baseline.

Okay, Evan King and Christian Harrison!

In men’s doubles, tiebreaks are decided by the one point the server’s partner can’t win the point by having his nose over the net. 🎾
It might be time for a new rule in men’s pro doubles:

The server’s partner must start behind the service line and can’t move until the server is struck.

In effect, either partner can be called for a foot fault. 🎾

If somebody doesn't get Evan King some kind of contract after this season, there's going to be hell to pay.
