I have had a theory that the Bombers run of success mirrored the Chiefs run. It continues to be more and more..... Interesting. If you follow the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and KC Chiefs and know the connections between them.... Curiouser and curiouser.

Could not be more excited. The current iteration has so many Bond connections (Craig clearly pulling out all the buddies) and is just such a tremendously entertaining watch. Can't recommend enough!

Only about 3/4 through, but can not remember enjoying a movie as much as I am Wake Up Dead Man in a really long time. This is outstanding stuff. How has Craig never won an Oscar? The man is brilliant.

Without taking anything away from the all world Connor Hellebuyck, goaltending was never the problem with the Jets. When they play fast and defensively smart, they don't give up much in the way of chances.

Honestly the Liberals had swung pretty hard left and eaten the NDP's lunch while leaving the *entire* right to the Conservatives.

This is an opportunity to retake the centre and go back to being the "socially progressive (mostly) and fiscally conservative (kinda)" party.
Mark Carney's grand bargain with Alberta wasn't popular with climate activists, but it's a much different story with the broader public.

Why it's part of his push to return the Liberals to their former position on the political spectrum. #cdnpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2025/12/12/o...
Mark Carney's grand bargain is more popular than you think
So far, the deal with Alberta hasn't cost the Liberal Party of Canada much support in the polls. Has the prime minister actually read the public mood correctly?

I can't think of a single alcoholic drink I'd ever need that I couldn't find a Canadian replacement for.

Hell, a Manitoban replacement a lot of times...

Best rye is made Manitoban...

The goal has always been to create a province full of alt right trolls who will forever elect far right governments.... It's just wild that this is okay. She really and sincerely does represent the majority in this province, unfortunately.

omg. Kat Abughazaleh just posted that if she's elected, she'll swear in on a copy of Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower.

If you were elected to public office (never mind whether you'd ever actually run), what book would you swear in on?

I don't know if the two things are related, but I've watched hardly any hockey this year, and also the Jets and Oilers have been alternating levels of awful. From the Jays to the Bombers to Jets/Oilers to the Oly curling trials.... What an absolute kick in the nuts for Manitoba sports fans in 2025.

Living in the heart of rural AB, I absolutely do not see it. I would say there is more appetite here for joining Montana than for becoming more progressive and working to create a more united Canada.

I'm personally finding joy in the fact that my Spotify Wrapped says I have the listening habits of someone 38 years old (I'm 45 for a few months yet) and choosing not to take that as a sign of immaturity. Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.
