What is likely is that Hegseth himself will be accused of a war crime in the future. Trump has chosen people like himself, egotistical, incompetent and mindless, and there will be a backlash like always.

The SHAME of the PRESS is that they never report the Demented acts of DONALD TRUMP. If you still wonder if he really is demented see youtube.com/watch?v=9OtO-cypKmY He cannot sue for being defamed without revealing his medical records during discovery which he will never due.

Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder, that beauty is subjective. However, I show that in pictures the early neuro-visual system responds to the aesthetics of pictures in a non-subjective manner. a response to a certain pattern of lights and darks, a type of tonal balance.

I have the opposite problem in a strange way from what you cite. My paper has been downloaded over 5000 times and counting in five years of being on biorxiv and presumably read by some but I cannot get published and only cited once.
One of the nastiest things about prestige in science is that it is ~useful~

There are simply too many papers published to judge each one on its merits, even in tiny subfields.

Navigating that mire requires shortcuts. Reading a paper can take hours. Reading a journal title takes a second. 1/n🧪

@pkpd-babe.bsky.social Could you add me to the list of contributors. I am an independent researcher and wrote a paper on pictorial balance that has much wider implications. It can be found at doi.org/10.1101/2020.05.26.104687
Pictorial balance, a bottom-up neuro-aesthetic property mediating attention and eye movements, explains the feeling of unity and harmony in pictures. A primitive visual operating system determines bal...
A computer model of a perfectly balanced picture is created. Analysis allowed the creation of an algorithm for calculating balance based only on the quadrant luminance. A study shows a correlation bet...

Have congress repeal the authority given to the president, any president to take emergency powers for more than 2 weeks before congressional approval is required with a 2/3's majority in both houses.
Illinois Democrats are united.

The Trump Administration can’t bully us into changing our immigration policy.

This all assumes that the Trump administration cares about what happens. To me the only way to understand Trump is that whether he is conscious of it or not, he has a compulsion to destroy everything he touches.
By slashing teams that gather critical data, the Trump administration has left the federal government with no way of understanding if policies are working — and created a black hole of information whose consequences could ripple out for decades.

Trump is total nihilist. He invariably destroys what he touches. It is hard perhaps terribly frightening to understand this. It is hard to understand how anyone can be a nihilist. Don't ask why because there is no reason, just accept as it is.
the one thing i genuinely did not anticipate from this administration was its vicious, know nothing hostility to any and everything that might even be adjacent to science and scientific research. they genuinely one to destroy the entirety of the nation’s research capacity. and for what, exactly?
If you think I've forgotten about the hurricane satellites, think again. The Navy is permanently unplugging them this week, on the brink of the busiest stretch of the season. There's so much more to this story, and I have the latest scoop. ⬇️

Slate takes a one sided view of Columbia's problem. They do not explore the consequences for the university if they had not given in. It's not that I agree with Columbia's actions but I would like the full story. slate.com/news-and-pol...
Republicans May Come to Regret Trump’s Columbia Shakedown
Columbia University struck a deal with the Trump administration to unfreeze hundreds of millions of dollars in research funding that was illegally blocked.

Trump's and project 2025's actions are meant to take us back to 1775. He is engaging in pure destruction. Sure he likes money but there is much more to it than personal gain. He is dynamiting the American government and there is no gain in that.
Senate Republicans insisted on restoring about $400 million in funding cuts the president had proposed for PEPFAR. It was a rare show of mettle. But it was not enough. ICYMI @citizencohn.bsky.social: www.thebulwark.com/p/we-are-fum...

Trump, You mean that you are so incompetent as president that you don't know what your government is doing

Every Ukrainian I talk to says something similar. They despair at being forgotten about. It's really important to let them know that despite our vile government, we still care. That they're not alone.
People who still talk about Ukraine, I hope u know how much u mean to me

Why fix it if it isn't broken and if you think it's broken, show me how before you try to fix it. Otherwise, it's just wrecking America to make it in your own image.
How bad will it be? Catastrophic.

Proposed cuts to #NSF, #NIH, and #NASA will set the US R&D landscape back 25 yrs+, cause economic and job loss now, and undermine innovations to come.

But, this is the WH's *proposed* budget.

Speak up now before it is too late.

What ever Putin has over Trump unfortunately means nothing now. It'll be only fake news
All Putin has to do is remind Trump of the evidence Putin holds, and the Orange Shitgibbon will quiet down REAL fast.
