JFC. If I had a dime for every time someone told me an older male psychologist who mainly does assessment was a dick, I could probably stop accepting insurance. And fuck that teacher

I swear I’m trying to write like a human and not spout jargon, but in some ways psychology is more of an argot than a field of study. We’re all just pretending we understand each other’s use of buzzwords

I feel like I should have some sense of what that measure is, but I have no clue. It’s funny the ones that endure longest tend to be the most psychoanalytical personality tests

But like, either way, there’s a reason the tests don’t ask where the oil pan is on a car, and that’s a value judgement.

The at the 95% confidence interval it’s 4 points either way. Fifteen would be a lot since for standard scores, it’s a whole standard deviation, but anyway, you’re right. The cognitive scales are a snapshot. They can be affected by medication, anxiety, depression or poor sleep, among other things.
