Holiday movie marathons this year were tough because of the walled gardens. So many movie series spread across different streaming services or not available at all. I think this is the end of movie marathons as a thing in our house.

And with that last label the wood side of the shop is now entirely metric. Saws, drills, routers, etc all are running on either metric or dual scales (Airplane side of the shop the tools are still imperial but that may change soon, new project in the works with the end of the Radical)

Halloween is always tough for our pup, Freyja is desperate to meet all the kids. But 100lbs of working line shepherd hurtling down the stairs to the door would alarm even the kids that know her so she’s banished behind the gate and sings her dismay at being left out.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
