Had a lot of fun this weekend at Fig Twig, a big holiday craft fair extravaganza here in Humboldt County in NorCal. Had to pull off a 8x10’ inward-facing indoor corner booth for the first time ever, but got it done!!

Whew! Now it’s time to crash.

I do a Halloween wallpaper every year. This is from a greeting card I made, featuring a Stygian Owl from South America. Apparently their eyes glow red when catching light at night, and their ear tufts resemble horns, giving them the name “Devil Owl”.

Did two versions of this. I like both of them. Deer by Day, Deer by Night.

Rain has blanketed Eureka in Humboldt County on the Redwood Coast. It should be here for a couple days.

Our wood-burning stove going. I will have a nice warm cappuccino bomb tonight, made by a local candy-maker we befriended doing outdoor streetfairs together.

It feels like October, finally.

Got some thrift store frames yesterday and gilded them with brushy strokes of gold acrylic. I think it fancified them a bit! Put in @xingcat.bsky.social cards he made, and they’re the perfect addition to my wall!
