not to hype my own books, but this is the exact audience my Spidey books are for tbh -- sort of an age level up from the early Percy Jackson books reader -- there's a good amount of slice of life in addition to the superheroing, and a lot of humor

There's a double rainbow leading into the library! Sadly we have no actual gold, but we have plenty of gold and gold-themed books (and as we all know, all books are a kind of treasure anyway!)! Come and have a browse and maybe take something home!

Libraries are all about inclusivity and should provide diverse reading materials, in many different formats, in order to fully meet user needs. Audiobooks are incredibly accessible and powerful reading mediums. They deserve a seat at the table.
Just been championing audiobooks on The Today programme. No surprise to those of us with dyslexia children or parents with poor eyesight. Nor to anyone that works with vulnerable readers. Or good readers like me who just love them. Close your eyes and listen or vacuum or drive. Brilliant.
UK audiobook revenue up by almost a third last year
Income from audiobooks reached a record £268m in 2024, according to figures from the Publishers Association
