Just got a new laptop with a mobile 5070 ti. I can feel it straining against it's anemic memory bandwidth during intensive gaming, even at 1080p.
Thankfully, I don't play a lot of AAA games and didn't buy it for that, but still...OOF.

Pardons in the US are a medieval relic that never should've been allowed. Governors and presidents shouldn't dispense justice like kings.
That one person can sidestep the entire legal system on a whim is a direct assault on said system's legitimacy and ripe for abuse. No matter who's in charge.

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

Happens so much in gaming now. Yes, video games have always adopted new tech, and AI like machine learning has been a part of that. Hell, Rogue used generative algorithms in the 80s.
But the use of GenAI in gaming is new, and quite different. Although companies using it love to say it isn't.

Conflating machine learning tools with GenAI and LLMs are such a favorite of these bad faith arguments, too. Like, machines studying X-rays to better understand cancer is not the same thing as Open AI swallowing all my books via piracy to regurgitate sentences that sound similar. It's just not.

For years, I gamed out PC builds at different price points every 6 months--everything from "$500 toaster" to "Won the lotto and don't give a fuck". It was fun...until the pandemic hit.
"Value" went out the window post-COVID and isn't coming back. The gaming PC market SUCKS.
