If you're concerned about Thanksgiving spending, just wait for the side-by-side of these two grinning ghouls and you'll lose your appetite anyway.
Such classic gaslighting it's an instructive moment. The question is not whether generic is better or worse, it's that a list with more expensive brand names is not the same as a list with cheaper generics. Perverting that truth into an attack on those calling it out is Manipulation 101.
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

Hey @kaine.senate.gov , guess what YOU'RE the face of now? Congrats, you whimpering coward. I've got old socks that don't fold as easily as you did.
The Senate’s spending bill eliminates or delays food safety rules aimed at preventing foodborne illnesses and contamination.

Not only did 8 Senate Democrats fail to protect millions of Americans’ healthcare, but they’re also making our food less safe.

@kaine.senate.gov Easy to say when you've got free healthcare, guaranteed retirement, and a boatload of other lifetime perks and benefits the rest of us will never see, all on tax payers' dime.

You CAVED, plain and simple. You gave up, you quit, you shrank. Stop trying to justify your cowardice.
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"

Spoken like someone who is more concerned about not missing their week of tax payer-funded vacation...
Angus King: "This initial strategy didn't work. And now we have one. We're gonna have a guaranteed vote on the ACA, and it may not succeed. I grant that. But a reasonable chance -- 10, 20, 30% -- is a lot better than 0% which is where we were."

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.
