On his first day back in the White House, Trump granted clemency to the rioters who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021. That pardon gave them their freedom and even seemed to satisfy their initial calls for revenge.

Also cannot be emphasized enough: Barack Obama successfully negotiated the shutdown of Iran's nuclear program. It exists today because Trump deliberately tore up that agreement.

The deaths happening right now can be laid at his door.
Israel aggressively bombing Iran—unlike two incidents of strikes in 2024, which followed Iranian missiles launches against Israel—is in part another consequence of a weak, chaotic US president.

Worth noting that this didn't happen under Biden, Obama, or Bush, despite Israel talking about it a lot.

I will be damned if I allow a bunch of Confederate-waving January 6th apologists give the American people a lecture on flag waving.

There is ZERO reason to enter an argument about patriotism with people who still worship traitors to America 150+ years later.

They. Are. Breaking. The. Law.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

I actually see Rubio as one of the most likely to snap out of it when their lives are no longer in danger. He looks so miserable and uncomfortable in all the recent media.
Great news folks. Marco Rubio will not stand for the federal government or its agencies targeting institutions or organizations because of their political beliefs. That’s third-world stuff that can’t be allowed to happen here. You still believe all this, Marco, right? Right?

The AP must refuse this but more importantly the rest of the White House Correspondents Association should back them.

Boycott the press briefings until they relent, and if they refuse, walk out. There is no real use to them in any case.

Trump craves attention. Deny him that and he’ll cave.

The biggest story in the country right now is how many lawsuits DOJ is losing trying to defend Musk and Trump. I've never seen so many courts, so clearly outraged at the federal government. The latest one, blocks cuts at HHS and FDA.

Here it is in a nutshell:

1. Trump is an authoritarian.
2. With the GOP controlling Congress, courts are key to protecting democracy.
3. So far, courts are doing a good job on #2.
4. GOP will next attack election rules like they did in 2021.

This is a remarkable moment. Trump and Vance sit there in silence, as a bishop pleas with them to lean on their better angels and not follow through with their depraved campaign promises that target the LGBTQ+ community and immigrants.

Never seen anything like this.

The idea that virtue signaling is somehow bad has no basis in Psychology. It's the main reason that people actually do any good things for strangers! We all want to express parts of our identity through our actions, and the best way to signal virtue is by actually being virtuous.
“Virtue signaling” remains one of the most pernicious concepts to gain popular purchase. The whole premise of the concept leans on the idea no one actually cares about anyone aside from themselves.
