So often we link wellness to adjectives of positivity. Yet, in a neo-liberal, competitive, capitalist society, ‘good’ on its own is actually rarely enough. We are constantly looking for ‘better’ and then ‘best’.

Always worth remembering how much harder it is to attain #WeirdPride and acceptance if you come from a position of less privilege.

Partly, any deviation from the 'default human' (male, white, straight, abled, etc etc) is automatically seen as weird, among the groups with the most cultural power.
No matter how much I like a popular, talented male artist, I cannot help but wonder how many women of equal caliber live and die in complete obscurity, never given the same chances to be weird and experimental. Woman breaks the rules, she's Doing It Wrong, but with men, they're groundbreaking.

1/3 Being busy or just being. Thoughts for wellbeing.

Systems are always busy. Busy doing to, busy counting outcomes of what is done, busy counting those who are counting & doing. So much counting things that can be counted, but not everything that can be counted is necessarily good for wellbeing.

We are a society swamped by misinformation. It tempts & reassures us. We see it, when we step away from its lure, into reality & see the world as it is. The social media posts of a #genocide, the destruction of climate & environment. This is the horror of 'real', not the fiction our politicians spin

There are simply two types of humans in the world. Those who believe in & represent humanity & those who don't. Underneath all the politics, rhetoric, spin it's that simple. History will judge.
