The claim of the article is that a recognition theory of class can compliment a structuralist account of class, not by reducing class to subjective identity but by exploring how the structural vulnerability to economic domination is experienced first-hand as a form of injury to one's self-worth.

This really is the core of the issue no matter what group you're talking about. Nothing good will ever come from people who watched a genocide and did nothing (or worse, participated in it). We all know this. Yes, you too.
“We are at a moment right now where people are asking themselves why can’t the Democratic Party defend this assault on democracy . . . and I would submit to you that if you can’t draw the line at genocide, you probably can’t draw the line at democracy.”

Blind faith in progress has long served as a convenient justification of European supremacy. Back in 2019, Ben Ehrenreich wrote on the endurance of this dangerous myth.

The audacity of people who pretend that everything that's going on now came down to a vote is astonishing. It ignores the culpability of BOTH parties in setting the precedents currently being weaponized by fascism. It's like nothing ever happened, and all was well with the world before 2025.
