Try to fix what's broken, and include everyone. It doesn't always work.

If you see the public as part of the problem, especially an informed public, then public broadcasting and public radio, which is how some get informed, is a problem.
“When Mister Rogers’s testimony came up at the hearing last week, one witness said that Congress shouldn’t have listened to him.”

Really latching on to the post-apocalyptic vibe. I like it.
Look, everyone, it’s been more than fifty years since Warergate. Attaching -gate to every scandal or potential scandal is just cringe.

Let’s call it: Signal Dome.

This downward trend is getting tiresome. The arc only turns towards justice if we put our shoulder to it. What’s your perfect world?

Good stuff.
I wrote about our foundational supremacist culture, its inevitable outcomes of genocide and slavery, and suggest 3 principles for building counterculture.

Part of the problem. But only part.
One danger of embracing generative AI as a learning device and in language assistance is that you're letting the keepers of that AI have power over what you learn and how you write. It will be programmed with biases, unintentional but often *quite* intentional, that you will unknowingly adopt.

Imagining what it would’ve been like to have had a president who was just as aggressive and urgently determined to protect the constitution and citizens and to crush fascism as the current one is being in order to kill the constitution and the citizens and to promote fascism.

This encourages me.
I wrote about the fascist party that's taking power, the deepest natural laws that they oppose, the ways that this opposition renders them fundamentally, illegitimate no matter what power they hold, and what that means for all of us.

Authors should have 3 letters ready to go right now:

1. A letter of support to send to teachers and librarians who are fighting for our books
2. A letter to the school/library board condemning book bans/promoting freedom to read
3. A letter to the editor promoting the freedom to read
