As Trump stumbled up the aircraft stairs today we got a closeup of the appalling damage he sustained to his ear when he was almost assassinated. His bone spurs have been playing up today he said. What a trooper!

Just back to Sweden after a couple of weeks in Spain, avoiding the scorching summer months.

Lovely to wander round town until I saw a GLASS of wine advertised at 190SEK (17€)!

A BOTTLE of the same wine can be bought in Systembolaget for 120SEK (11€)

A markup of 6.7 times! It’s getting silly guys…

DJT: “I love me, who do you love?”
Constitution Avenue has been selected as the main route for Trump’s Jun. 14 military parade, so for once “trampling on Constitution” will be more than a metaphor for him.
Here's what we know about Trump's June 14 D.C. military parade
From the route to the music, permit applications give us a glimpse into the spectacle.

I’m certainly not going whilst Trump is spewing his hatred.

The man is sick! The thought of this toxic bile spewing out of his mouth for the next 4 years is unbearable and I’m 7,000 km away. Americans, I grieve for you.

There’ll be breadlines in the US within 12 months if this continues.
From a spokesperson just now:

“NASA is committed to optimizing its workforce and resources in alignment with [DOGE] initiatives. As part of this effort NASA has identified and phased out $420 million in contracts that were determined to be redundant or misaligned with our core mission priorities."
NASA started terminating grants :(

But a 20km intensity interferometer would give 300x300 pixels. Brightness is the problem.

Make them pay through the nose! “That’s what everyone would do”, to quote the despicable Trump himself.

"Denmark, which controls Greenland, is not doing its job and it's not being a good ally. How are we going to solve that problem? If that means we need to take more territorial interest in Greenland, that is what President Trump is going to do because ⤵️

But NASA commentators, at least once, called it the Gulf of America. When are Democrats going to get up off their backsides? Bernie and AOC can’t do it alone.
@Television news organizations may believe that avoiding a term like Gulf of Mexico is a fairly harmless concession. But … cute linguistic gymnastics amount to a surrender. Words are the front lines of truth, and once they’re ceded, it becomes far easier for strongmen like Trump to shape reality.”
GULF OF FEAR: This past week, when NASA astronauts returned to Earth, TV news networks avoided calling the body of water they splashed down in as the Gulf of Mexico.

Instead, they performed linguistic gymnastics to stay out of Trump’s crosshairs.

Headline in The Guardian today:
“Keir Starmer says he ‘likes and respects’ Donald Trump”

Seriously? I don’t believe that Starmer likes Trump. If so he is beyond naive. Trump would spit on him if it suited his ends. Wake up Starmer.
