Gonna need letters of transit signed by Charles deGaulle just to get back to Indiana to see my kid by this summer.
I just checked in at the Atlanta airport and the kiosk wanted me to show a "passport or permanent residence card."

The airline rep who was helping me said "I don't know why it's doing this it's been doing it all morning."

Addendum: it's also always STFU Friday, so if people don't see you broadcasting what you're doing... it might be because you're doing it right.
Hey, an occasional reminder:

Should you be fighting fascism here in the US? Yes, you should!

Are you the one who decides how best you can do that? Yes, you are!

Should the people who decide that you're not doing it right (i.e., the way they want you to) fuck off into the sun? Yes, they should!

My Circle of Stars druid was based on Yvaine from Stardust (and my DM was happy to literally drop her out of the sky into the campaign). But I am increasingly playing her like Phoebe from Friends - upbeat, unbothered & chipper *because* of her horrible backstory. #dnd

I once took a "raptor watching" lake cruise and learned that bald eagles often don't fish for themselves - they steal fish other raptors catch. Geese however are the reason I believe birds descended from dinosaurs.
‘“Nature has its way of taking out the weak and the not so well and the injured. The eagle likely thought it would be able to take it out quite easily,” Sequeira [the Ontario-based photographer] said. “But, it wasn’t.””

I had a story idea, but the story wants to be letters. It wants to be actual, physical mail from your quirky aunt Tabitha, who is a hedge witch with a raccoon familiar. It wants to encourage you during a difficult year.

This whole thread is excellent, but it has me thinking about our "how to write villains" video from @worldanvil.com last week. We have an older, more evergreen video on hero archetypes, but this specific thread is worth exploring in a whole essay.
If you want to write heroes in the year 2025, you have to decide what they stand for, and then stand for it. The mealy-mouthed, offend-no-one approach no longer works. People respond to the Walter Whites bc you can put truth in their mouths. So put truth in the mouths of the good guys.
