#resistance #protip: Water is at its most powerful when it is constant. A single drop doesn't change much, but a constant stream can form a canyon.

That's a metaphor for us and what we need to do for the next for years. #altgov #resist

Libraries matter now more than ever. They stand for the powerful idea that knowledge is free and belongs to everyone. In a time when books and free thought are under threat, we must defend and support our libraries and librarians—they are guardians of access, learning, and freedom.

Paperback books are like velveteen rabbits — there to be loved and squeezed and read and stuffed into shoulder bags and left in the sun and read again until there's nothing left but the best kind of memories

Consider yourself to have been blessed to be alive in any kind of overlap with Nikki Giovanni, May Allah be pleased with her.

She has left her voice with us. This is one of my favorites.

Spring chicken of the woods. You can find this #mushroom in Spring, Summer, and Fall. It was very abundant this season. I like to find it a day younger than shown but still was ok to eat. Once they fan out more it becomes tough and not as flavourable.

It's a good day to be a New Jerseyan.

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law Monday to prohibit public and school libraries from banning books in the state and to enshrine protections against civil and criminal charges for librarians who comply with the law.

Supporting the needs of prison libraries to better serve their patrons. Public libraries have Friends groups that help support their financial needs, why don't prison libraries?
