"I had a nice house but they repealed prop 13 and when I faked my death for the 18th time so I could pose as my own son and inherit it, I lost it to taxes"
you'd think that vampires would be rich from compound interest and things like that but you'd need a pretty complex setup to avoid detection, and what if you predate capitalism and can barely read. just continually building up a small pile of savings and then getting wiped out and/or scammed

This person was obviously royalty, but his balls suffered major, repeated trauma. Archaeologists theorize that a revolution occurred during his reign, which is the only plausible explanation for such torture. We hope to clone him some day from the abundant DNA found in the device.

Trader Joe's regular italian pasta in the blue bag went away a few months ago. It's Egyptian now, in purple bags.

My cop friend investigated a noise complaint call in Atherton in the 90s that turned out to be Larry Ellison in his underwear playing drums in his backyard studio. Said he was pretty sure Larry was tripping balls at the time also. You know, like they do in the middle of the country.

If bsky doesn't have sitewide campaign detection yet, that's just malpractice. That was in server side spam filtering 15 years ago. (Meaning similar spammy links showing up across many accounts.)
this is a great label to have

I spent the afternoon clearing out all the little passages in my Yamaha's carbs. It's really satisfying to put it back together, fire it up and ride around town fighting with a bike that still absolutely will not idle without dying AT ALL.

I've browsed mid-tier real estate in Bahrain and all the houses look like Saddam's bathroom from top to bottom
On the left, the refurbished Lincoln bathroom. On the right, picture I took in Saddam Hussein's palace in Basra in 2005.

I was rummaging around in a database at work for troubleshooting reasons and found a customer was actively running jobs for [huge celebrity]. I can promise there's an ace technical team keeping her stuff moving but the guy actually working for her is a bit of a bonehead.

Checking Amazon reviews for a motorcycle battery:

"This fit my Mercedes CLA250 perfectly"

Uh thanks? For giving me a review of a different thing, complete with a header indicting that you know it's a different thing?

The time to remove the tattoo was before trying to become a national political figure. At the very least, it demonstrates a level of judgement that should be absolutely disqualifying for a national level democratic politician. He needs about 20 years in the antifa mines, then he can try again.

Walking a linux noob through editing a config file over zoom and the AWS web terminal he's using doesn't do vi correctly. Ended up walking him through using "perl -pie ..." to undo the broken config. Good times.

Tore into the front master cylinder today. The piston is rusty as hell, new seals might not be enough. I'll know after scraping the rust off and seeing if the sealing surfaces are fucked.
I finally touched wrench to fitting on my late dad's Norton Commando motorcycle tonight. I think it last ran in 2018. The plan is to flush the old gas, clear the carb jets, give it new oil, then fire it up. Then bleed the brakes. Wish me luck.

She never got a pill and is acting like a rapidly healing kitty now.
I tried and failed to give my sad, sniffly cat a half a zyrtec. But the struggle has energized her and she's eating now so- fuck it, that's a win.

OK we've tested the AI police system. Now liquidate the company, shred all their hard drives, jail them and fire all the school administrators who signed off on it.
