Using a polearm, and the skills learned by watching the winged beasts of the sky, you are a warrior who has no equal when your feet leave the ground. For those who wish to live out the fantasies of playing a Dragoon, look no further than the Sky Knight. Warrior of the Underground Monk. Your body isn't a temple, it's a weapon. One that has been honed over years of abuse, broken bones, and street brawls. You fight dirty, and you do whatever it takes to win. Path of the Burning Heart Barbarian. With fire in your blood, and a burning heart in your chest you command the battlefield by raising igneous rock from the earth, and splashing pools of lava onto your enemies. Cosmic Magic Wizard. These mages harness the magic at the heart of the universe. Before it is considered Divine, Primal or Arcane, the magic of creation can be used in many different ways.

The Oath of Shadows binds Paladins to the ideal of justice at any cost. They put the notion that one must take the high road or else they are no better than those they seek to bring to justice. If the corrupt are willing to break laws to enact their sinister agenda, they have an advantage over those who follow the laws in an attempt to stop them. The Oath of Shadows will not be chained by bureaucracy. Shadow Barrier Level 3 Oath of Shadows Feature You can use the power from your oath to shape the darkness into a protective barrier. As a Magic action, choose a point within 30 feet of you. A wall of darkness appears centered on that point, extending in opposite directions. The wall lasts for 1 minute, and is magical darkness. You can sense creatures within 10 feet of the wall. Any attacks made through the wall have Disadvantage and their targets have a +5 bonus to AC. Blinding Barrier. Any creature that is Hostile to you or your allies that enters your Shadow Barrier, or starts their turn in it, must make a Wisdom saving throw or have the Blinded condition until the start of their next turn.

I know winning at TTRPGs as a player is geting your DM to facepalm. But the DM version of that is giving your D&D player such a meaningful, heartfelt moment that their only response is, "Fxck you.'

Like, "How dare you make me feel. Make me care!"

There is a thin line between brilliance and madness, and those that call themselves Artificers walk it often. The descent into Mad Science is paved with good intentions by a desire to fix some unsolvable problem in the world. Whether an Artificer’s ends justify the means, those that practice Mad Science push the envelope of what is physically possible, and what is morally acceptable. Mad Scientist Level 5 Mad Science Feature Your tools are an extension of your mind. When you expend a spell slot to cast an Artificer spell through a tool you are proficient with, you can enhance its effect on one creature. The effect is determined by the tool used in the spell’s casting. Alchemist’s Supplies. When you cast an Abjuration spell, the target gains a bonus equal to your Intelligence modifier on their next saving throw. Leatherworker’s Tools. When you cast a spell that requires Concentration, choose one creature affected by the spell. It gains Temporary Hit Points at the start of each of its turns equal to your Intelligence modifier.

The Twins Patron Warlock draws from the magic of a pact made with two powerful beings. Extraplanar entities, such as these, usually share dominion over a place, source of power, or domain. Twin Patrons can have their own agendas but ultimately work together toward a common goal with their Warlock. Twin Empowerment Level 3 Twins Feature After a Long Rest, choose one of the Twins to manifest their power. The twin you choose determines which Warlock features you have access to. Pathos Twin. Whenever you take the Help action to grant Advantage on an ability check, you can give the ally you are assisting an additional 1d6 bonus to the result of the roll. Kairos Twin. Whenever you take the Help action to grant Advantage on an attack roll, you can give the ally you are assisting an additional 1d6 bonus to the result of the roll.

Corporations do NOT care about people, not even their employees. People are tools and resources to them, and the whole concept of a C-Suite or Board of Whatevers needs to be deleted.

This whole story here is so heartbreaking and frustrating. I am so sorry this happened to you OP. : (

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

Where do you get your homebrew from for TTRPGs like D&D?

Is it just stuff you make yourself? Do you just grab it from social media when you see it? Do you use DriveThruRPG or DMs Guild?

Realizing that I only really use stuff that either makes it to DnDB, or it's just stuff I make myself.

A magic item for use in Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition tabletop role-playing game. This is a homebrew magic item created by Cloaks & Capes. Phase Fang Dirk Weapon (dagger), uncommon “This fang from a phase spider was carefully tempered and worked into the metal of the blade. Even after surviving the extreme heat of the forge it retains some of the innate magical abilities of the phase spider.” You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Ethereal Jaunt. When you score a Critical Hit with this magic weapon you can teleport to the Ethereal Plane. You remain there for up to 1 minute, at which point you teleport back to the Material Plane. You can also use a Bonus Action on your turn to teleport back to the Material Plane.

Shambling Cloak Wondrous Item, very rare “This rare cloak is made from the remains of a shambling mound and though the creature is long dead, the vines of this cloak will slowly and harmlessly twist and slither along the arms, back and neck of the one wearing it.” While wearing this magic item gives you advantage on stealth checks when trying to blend in among plants and other flora. Additionally, you have advantage on grapple checks against medium creatures or smaller. Lightning Absorption. Whenever you are subjected to lightning damage, you take no damage and regain a number of hit points equal to half the lightning damage dealt
