“Train good and car bad!”

Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to get up a mountain by public transit? New video out now!

The assumption that people only use transit to get to and from work in downtowns has been detrimental to transit ridership.

Anyone who claims there isn’t enough parking just remember

There are over 2 billion parking spots in the US alone

That’s enough parking for every American to own 5 cars

If we put all the parking spaces into one giant lot it would cover over the entire states of Connecticut and Vermont

Pedestrian spaces look great, they build a center for the community to rally around, and they save our cities valuable tax dollars. If we want to build better cities, then we should be focusing not just on big sweeping projects. But the smaller ones that create an impact too!

fall and winter are the most obvious months to tell if your city cares about people walking or biking

Car lanes will be cleared of any snow or leaf litter almost immediately

While sidewalks and bike lanes will be full of snow and leaf litter for days

The Bend/Redmond area of Oregon has some of the lowest density sprawl development I’ve ever seen. This is 6 miles from downtown. This level of sprawl and growth combined is a massive disaster in action.

Business in downtown Portland is driven by the taco trucks selling em for $2.50 and halal carts selling gyros for under $10

Some people think urbanism is all about making cities more walkable but it’s not

Urbanism is about making cities better places to live. Which means improving the amenities and resources people have access to as well as making sure people of all walks of life can afford to live in our cities.

conservative urbanist is an oxymoron

If you aren’t going to accept people of all backgrounds in your city then you’re not going to make your city a good place to live.

Trump is starting another imperialist war of aggression in Venezuela. That’ll cost Americans trillions and will kill thousands. AND NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT!

The people who claim transit is dangerous are the same people who cut off 3 lanes of traffic than park in the bike lane.

I fucking hate when I see micro influencers spread dehumanizing rhetoric about homeless people.

These people are your neighbors. Have some god damn humanity.

Money for public transit? Nah! Let’s give it to a foreign nation!

Americans are so carbrained that the idea of changing street space to not serve only cars is an attack on their freedom of movement.

TriMet will be continuing to debate taking out bus lanes from the 82nd FX project.

There’s a community advisory committee meeting later this evening

If you can’t make it let them know you want bus lanes

Love that small business owners who don’t look at data can determine our road layouts!
"While we support mass transit, we cannot support the seven mile BAT lane option... Taking away 50% of the capacity will not only result in increased congestion, but will also result in 82nd Avenue becoming a more dangerous corridor to drive on." - David Tarlow, owner of Washman Car Wash

“But where will people park?” But instead of complaining about less car parking it’s me worrying about secure bike parking.
