We should have programs to assist people with limited ability to pay property taxes so they can move or don't lose their homes but basing it on age in particular is super regressive

Why is @kqednews.kqed.org reporting it as fact that the Trump is trying to increase our energy independence? An administration interested in energy independence would be ramping up wind and solar, not blocking it

@kqednews.kqed.org spoke to a few Republicans in Norco (town in Riverside County) who are ostensibly. ibly worried that being represented by a Democrat in Congress will bring their way of life to an end, and now I'm even more fervently pro-Prop 50.

It's also troubling that some of these writers and historians are attributing a breadth of perspectives to the AI models that are simply unknowable at this stage.
Whether it's cars or LLMs people have an innate want to humanize these systems in ways that distort their real utility and output

Good reporting overall, but shouldn't somebody over there (maybe @faizsays.bsky.social) know that this is bullshit and qualify it as such? There are no federal regs preventing Elon from going forward with autonomous driving, only Tesla's lack of capabilities (cc @niedermeyer.online)
