Democratic Party candidate for Idaho State House of Representatives, District 13 seat A, Nampa, Idaho
Pinned
I guess I should mention that I'm running again in 2026 for Idaho House of Representatives, district 13 seat A.

Too many people on the campaign trail last time told me how valuable it was that their voices be heard. They deserve to be represented by someone who cares and listens to them.
This is all so maddening.

The individual mandate that the ACA or Obamacare was based on was championed by conservatives as a market-based approach. It was a REPUBLICAN idea. From the HERITAGE FOUNDATION.

We elect these guys, and then they don't trust us to vote for anything else. Maybe they have a point. Maybe we did make a mistake voting... when we elected THEM.

Vote for candidates who respect you, Idaho.

A deeply sad and, I suspect, not unusual story. This is why seeing the leopards eating the faces doesn't bring me any joy. Yes, they voted for this. They should have known better. They didn't. And now this guy may not survive. Can't snark your way past that.

Another remote event with limited, controlled questions no doubt. Know who routinely does in person events where everyone gets to speak?
His opponent, Kaylee Peterson. Because she takes this seriously. Because she actually wants to listen to you. Plus, she's a badass.

I drive a 2002 Toyota Echo because I'm THAT fancy. Excellent vehicle, criminal they didn't make more of them. Never had trouble with it. Today, when I'm late leaving for my flight to Houston for work, is the day the engine decided to try to shake its way to freedom.

Technically, there is no Minnesota Democratic Party. Back in the 40s, they merged with a 3rd party to form the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, or DFL. Maybe all state parties should join the DFL just to send a message that we aren't like the national party.🧵

Trying to write a clever post about how mad I am at Chuck Schumer @schumer.senate.gov but I'm too pissed to manage it.

I can only assume he actually wants people to leave the party. Not much else makes sense.

He's making it so much harder for us down here in the trenches.

I understand the information bubble that many conservatives are in.

I can not for the life of me understand the information bubble that national Democratic Party leaders are in. What could possibly make them think a "promise" from the regime to do something they clearly don't want to do is a win?

People who work from home, if you're too busy to answer the door, that's fine. Nobody's upset about that. I'm just a bit confused when you somehow have to time to answer the door so you can snap at me that you're too busy to answer the door. Seems like we could have skipped that step.

Wait wait wait... the party at Mar-a-Largo was *literally* Great Gatsby themed? I assumed that was just what critics were calling it.

Is this, like, a strategic choice to stop people from making the French Revolution comparisons? Because at least Gatsby didn't have guillotines?
