And Jamie finally saw something that proved it had been a person once. It had a belly button. Proof that it had been born, and for at least a little while, someone had cared for it. When Jamie poked it the thing made a noise like a giggle. He thought he was starting to understand what the demons had meant when they said the mutant was just a wad of impulses now. He tickled it and it shivered, he poked it and it made a noise, just like a wind-up toy that moved and rattled if you wound the key. If they said it couldn’t feel or think, Jamie believed them. They would know. The mutant was smooth and unblemished all over, but a hand’s width below the belly button was a hole. Jamie had imagined something puckered, but it was just a fleshy ring. He poked at it and tensed when it grabbed his finger and sucked it in. It sparked the most confused erection he’d ever had in his short life, and he’d had a few weird ones lately.

I don't understand this grift. I can clearly see, on BlueSky, by using my BlueSky account to view this private BlueSky message on BlueSky, that my BlueSky account has not in fact been suspended.

Anyway watch out for this grift I guess.

Yeah, you don't need all that background to enjoy the music. To me personally it enhances some of the songs and performances but in the end it's window dressing.
