The more we live next to dictators the more obvious it becomes that autocracies apply a sick diametrical opposite to the "no broken windows" principle in that they find it necessary to corrupt _everything_ - nothing can be left clean. Anything free and untarnished is an affront to autocracy itself.

I don't understand how anyone can make the case that we still have constitutional government at this point. The president is collecting revenue *AND* spending money without Congressional authorization, refusing to spend money that Congress appropriated, disobeying whatever laws he feels like.
