New Mexico just became the first U.S. state to offer free universal child care

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham told CBS News it would save families an average of $12,000 a year.

"In 41 states in America, your child care payment is more than your mortgage payment," she said.

Trump: And you know, we got rid of the drip drip water, we call it the drip drip, where it drip drips out of the sink, states with tremendous water, so much water they have nothing but problems getting rid. They had restrictions on water. It comes down from heaven, right?

He should be out to pasture, nowhere near power.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

Hi, Jean. My friend is a Nigerian prince who needs to urgently retrieve $1,000,000 from an abandoned trust from his father.

If you can wire $5,000 today, you will be entitled to 35% of the trust. Please reply at your earliest convenience.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

Please don’t think this beltway game of having retiring Dem senators vote yes while everyone else votes no is going to shield leadership from the end result. We see what is happening and can’t be fooled by those games.

I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

I had a short and terse argument with a family member after 2024 election. He said we will go back to being a "Christian nation" - my response, this has NEVER been a Christian nation. We have freedom of religion and from religion. Please read the constitution you fucking moron.

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

Reporter: When trump promised that he will give only the bare minimum to New York as a result of this election, what do you say to that?

AOC: I think he should be careful about what cities he threatens because as we see from this electorate—these are not people who take well to threats.

If a temporary resident of the White House can totally demolish the East Wing to build a gaudy ballroom, without any authority, approval, or regulation, he can tear down the rest of the White House to build a Walmart. That this destruction is allowed underscores how off the rails our country is now.

BREAKING:

Jack Smith is requesting that Congress and the Justice Dept. let him testify in public.

In new letters to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, Smith says he wants to testify "in open hearings" because of "the many mischaracterizations" around his investigations.

This is a take-one-for-the-team moment.

Our country is dying, and Jack Smith knows it.

He’s asking to testify publicly, so you know he’s got receipts.

Doing this paints an even larger target on his back, and he's saying, "Fuck it."

Go Jack!
