There is a federal contingency fund set up for this kind of situation to cover things like SNAP and food stamp benefits for families in need. All that the President has to do is release the contingency funds. Starving the poor is his intent.

No. This is purposeful in the way that many of our conflicts have been. This is motivated by some banker, hedge fund ass hole or Trump himself wanting US access to Nigerian minerals and oil. Just like the “drug” boat murders are testing the waters for taking Venezuela’s resources.
At some point we might have to consider the fact that he might be mentally unstable.
