Democrats should have been filing impeachment articles every week, adding his new crimes each time.

Those articles cannot come soon enough.
More corruption.

A real Congress would write Articles every day.
Now here’s the kind of news you drop going into a long holiday weekend. Maybe no one will notice. 🤡

Keep at it.

Citizens deserve to see all 535 members of Congress vote yes or no on impeaching and convicting him for all the new -- as yet unimpeached -- destruction and lawlessness of Trump II.

And they deserve to see it BEFORE THE PRIMARIES to find out who -- both D and R -- is on their side.

Good grief.
NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Trump’s Fury at BBC Gets Unnerving Results with Pro-MAGA Edit Stunner
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

"The only way to restore the rule of law is for Congress to begin impeachment proceedings immediately. Half measures are complicity. Silence is complicity. Delay is complicity."

Bravo, @hartmannreport.com. We agree. Congress has a sworn duty to impeach + remove this lawless president from office.

And if our current leaders won’t do it, they need to step aside for people who will.

The President intends to tell the US military to murder US civilians, and is using the FBI to threaten anyone who wants to stop him.
The FBI has requested interviews with Democrats who appeared in a controversial video reminding U.S. service members of their duty to disobey unlawful orders, deepening the Trump administration’s campaign to punish some of its fiercest critics.

This simple fact drives anger at Congress: they have power they won't use, even as Trxmp is unpopular and worse, the latest YouGov/Ipsos finding has Congress’s positive rating at 16%. SIXTEEN! "The American People" they yammer about, nonstop, want them to act. Why don't they?
As Jessica Denson @jessicadenson07.bsky.social says: it is no longer sufficient for members of Congress to just post on social media or go on cable news shows and say things.

We, the People demand action.

We demand impeachment.
"They are conducting treason. Yet they will not give us the remedy. Well, HERE THE HELL IS THE REMEDY.

I have news for anyone on either side of the aisle: It is no longer sufficient to go on cable news and get your sound bite. We want Articles of Impeachment filed, and we want them filed now."

It's easy to see how folks could get confused. In conversation with Dem Representatives they want to wait for leadership to tell them to take action (last week Rep Morelle, NY-25, made clear that he wouldn't take action without Jeffries' permission for example)

He could though. If he had courage.

This is unfortunately not true.

Any representative can write articles of impeachment at any time (they could even use the articles of impeachment written by @citizensimpeachment.com!)

Impeachment is a privileged resolution, that means any representative can force a vote on them under rule IX
How impeachment works:

House opens inquiry,
investigates, subpoenas.

Judiciary drafts articles;
full House votes—simple majority = impeached.

Senate trial (Chief Justice presides);
2/3 to convict = removal + possible disqualification.

There is, indeed, something off about nearly every single member of Congress not honoring the oaths they have sworn.

Has anyone other than Representative Al Green @algreen.house.gov pledged to bring Articles of Impeachment in the coming weeks?
The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.

We see a lot of posts about how impeachment won’t happen and that we should push for the 25th Amendment instead.

Why won’t that work?

The 25th requires Trump’s own cabinet to act, which is unlikely. Impeachment only requires a simple majority in the House. It is faster and more direct.

Another way to say this, Sen. Gallego @gallego.senate.gov, is that 'the House should impeach you and the Senate will convict you.'

From the article:
"F--- you and your investigation," added Gallego.
