Weathergami for Tulsa..... Because Summer is often so stagnant, our most common high temp/low temp occurrence in our weather records is 93° and 72°. That combo has happened 79 times! from 1938 to 2023.

It smelled like a ‘buried body.’ A small town was overwhelmed by fumes from an oil waste disposal facility
Residents near Enid say the smell of an oilfield waste disposal site made them feel sick. State officials weren’t sure who was in charge of enforcement.

This is so out of touch and dumb.

“Turn your one $9.99 subscription around to a dozen other hyper specific subscriptions at a low price of $9.99 a piece!”

It’s all capitalism, dumb dumb. And they’re all fighting over dollars.
Support independent journalists. If everyone who killed their NYT/WaPo subscriptions turned that money around and gave it to journalists working on the stories they cared about - and not just the former staff journalists turned "independent" - we'd still have a free press.
"As the press becomes more subservient and less independent, the first-hand knowledge needed to even stage a fight to get our mojo back is a whisper in the ether," writes Brian J. Karem.

Veteran journalists who know how abnormal this is must be extra vocal.

A US Drug Enforcement Administration agent said the DEA made “high-level arrests” of 171 Sinaloa Cartel members across New England in August.

A Globe investigation found that many of the DEA’s targets were addicts, low-level dealers, shoplifters, and homeless people.
The DEA said they arrested 171 ‘high ranking’ Sinaloa Cartel members. A Spotlight investigation found that’s not true. - The Boston Globe
A Globe investigation found that the federal agency misrepresented the stature of its targets, claiming cartel ties at a time when the Trump administration is taking lethal military action against such groups.

@jeffpasan.bsky.social was seen today flanking the right shoulder of Kash Patel during the FBI's press conference about the NBA gambling indictments. Didn't know you were a government official covering baseball as a hobby ;)

Retired Army Sgt. Brian Wofford spoke to me this morning at the Oklahoma City #NoKings protest. Didn’t expect him to be carrying his DD214 so I asked some warmup questions like when he got out and whether his injury was service-related.

He paused while describing the car bomb in Iraq to say this:

This man was blessed with a fucking brain worm but wants to tell you that your cum ain’t shit, while speaking like a shitty 1978 ford fairlane that doesn’t have fuel injection.

As god intended.
Lee Corso's college teams (Florida State, Maryland, Navy, Louisville, Indiana, NIU, and Brutus The Buckeye's Head) all won today. Also his 1985 Orlando Renegades did not lose

"But most of them played bad teams," you say. Ok well one of them played Bama haha

My puppers found my tomato thief this morning. Look at him trying to be mean. Turns out if you do their little growly hiss at them, they move easier than trying to swat its butt or push his tail. Super clean teeth to boot
