Yes, it is entirely correct to point out that ICE officers do not have any legal authority to break into somebody’s home unless they get a judicial warrant; which they generally cannot do, because judges only issue warrants for probable cause of crimes, not immigration law violations.

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

There isn’t much information given about the topic, but the issue is related to looting. Predatory journals, predatory NGOs, predatory academics. Where there is unchecked abundance, there is plenty of corruption.
Abel: I am writing in my capacity as Chair of I4R. Last year, I was contacted by a researcher that alerted me of potential scientific misconduct in a set of papers all using data from a specific NGO.🧵

It should come as no surprise that the destructive cynicism of the left is countered by the destructive nihilism of the right.
I think what I find so repellent about the far-right is the sheer nihilism at its core. For all the talk of culture and identity, they are just flimsy masks strapped over, in Arendt's words "the intoxication of destruction as an actual experience, dreaming the stupid dream of producing the void.”

The shift has taken a huge bite out of state funding for public school — an estimated $600 million this year."

Why do these people pay taxes?
The situation in schools is not new. Recovery cannot be achieved. A system that gets worse with every election result.
No budget, no qualifications, no foresight.
Terrible.
The story behind ProPublica’s new Private School Demographics database began with our need to understand how many “segregation academies” still operate — and where.

The Trump Administration has now effectively shuttered the agency that protects workers from employers, the agency that protects workers from discrimination, and the agency that protects consumers from big corporations.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who Trump named acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has reportedly shut down all CFPB operations - enforcement, investigation, everything - "pending a review"

They're gonna let corporations fuck over consumers if they want to, dammit.
